I shot this video after the show on the evening of June 9th, 2022… while I was cooking dinner… probably right around 1030pm PT.
I just walked out on my back patio while the pasta water was put on the stove… and I looked back towards Skunkworks (as in Lockheed) and I saw a bright light, low on the horizon, then a second, and then a third… all within a few seconds of each other… in a perfect triangle… so, I grabbed my phone and started recording.
While this drama was going down, a giant plane takes off… turns completely sideways (you can see in the video)… and it doesn’t take off… it just makes a U-turn, and lands again. I don’t know what kind of plane it was… I haven’t checked out the video yet and blown up a few frames to see… but I’m sure many of you will be able to (maybe) figure it out.
The top light of the three in the ‘triangle’ flies away pretty quickly… I didn’t see it until after my phone died (you can see it in the video).
Well, that’s it! Nothing more.
Probably just some crazy flight testing of super secret stuff in the middle of the night… but, I gotta say, it was FUN to watch!!!
